Seven Flash Games with Great Splash Menu Screens

I’m not going to say steal someone else’s ideas, but I will say using them for inspiration is genius. And that’s what we’re doing with these seven great flash game menu screens. From clean simplicity to excellent tertiary animation these games have something special in the way they first present themselves. When you’re trying to influence someone to look at (and hopefully play) your game, first impressions are important. So use these guys as inspiration for some great splash screens.

Contest - What can you do in 25 lines of ActionScript?

So what if I said, I’m going to have a contest… an ActionScript programming contest. The goal is to make something truly extraordinary, something that makes you get up and a say wow, that’s amazing. But then I throw in a catch… you only get 25 lines of ActionScript to write the whole program. That’s what kp from 25lines.com said and the results, well, they are amazing. ActionScript 3.0 (AS3) Coding Standards

If you are going to be good programmer, you probably should follow some standards.  While this link says it’s Flex SDK coding conventions, it’s completely written for ActionScript 3.0. It’s the standard, so like it or not, it’s probably a good idea to follow it or at least attempt to follow it.
